    BRAKES NEED ATTENTION

G,day RABBITS here, this is a funny one ,On my 96 V8 Disco 1 my brake pedal every now and then & only now and then feals like it vibrates under my foot.I thought it might be my tyres hitting something. I have 245x70x16 with range rover rims. Some times it is when i am turning and some times it is when i am braking going straight. It does not happen all the time.I have checked for the tyre hitting something but i can not see any rubbing.Any ideas?? DAVE

Is this happening at slow or high speeds? My guess is that you have ABS? If so it is likely that at least 1 of your wheel sensors is out of adjustment OR failed/ failing. More than likely a front one.

A common issue with these vehicles at this point in their life.

Well thgen I am almost 100% certain it is an ABS issue. (You didn't mention whether you have ABS (Anti-lock) fitted?)
If so, get it checked/ rectified ASAP as when it gets worse you may not be able to stop AT ALL. The pedal just keeps vibrating and you just keep heading toward the back of that BMW 750iL, or Lexus LS430

Dave, make sure you get it to a LR specialist who knows these systems, PM Psimpson7 here on AULRO as he can help direct you to a specialist to trust.

Give Ricks 4wd a call, should be in the yellow pages etc but if you cannot find his number I will post it up for you. Rick is at Nerang and specializes in Land Rovers. Other option is the LR dealer in Southport.

Dave, I've sent Psimpson7 a PM, he lives around that neck of the woods and should be able to give you a local contact that is trustworthy. He should get in touch with you via PM when he gets mine His name is Pete and he is a good bloke. (For a Defender owner...)

    I've Pm'd suggesting Ricks also.

    His website is here

Rick's 4WD Centre - Land Rover, Range Rover, Land Rover Discovery, Defender, Freelander, Land Rover Mechanics, Land Rover Repairs, land rover, landrover spare parts, land rover accessories

Soutport main dealer seems pretty good, but may be expensive.

There are a few more options in BNE

    Rgds
    Pete
