    Linear electromagnetic suspension

    Its not far away. Imagine this set up in water and already troublesome ECUs

    I can already see the Lucas equivalent in a LR. Not sure I can afford the maintenance.

    That's been around for a long time.

    However, the 3kw required to make it work in a normal car will mean it's never going to be mainstream. For a 4wd with more weight and suspension travel, it could be 10kw.
