    Which clutch for 300tdi

    Hi folks
Just got myself another R380 gearbox.
Am looking to replace the clutch, as the old one is starting to slip.
I do a fair bit of towing and have increased fueling and intercooling, so it is possibly making 20-25% more torque
Does anyone have any recommendations for a clutch kit?
    thanks
    Brian

I believe Valeo HD gets the nod locally?

Or you could try M&D engineering in the UK... they have an extra heavy duty clutch they supply for 2.8 conversions... 174GBP plus freight from memory?

    Couple of options anyways!

I had new clutch put in recently, make sure you get fly-wheel machined.

Car was shaking on take off and in low range especially.

Had to take out again and get flywheel machined as the 1st installer in Victoria did not do so.

Yes, definately plan on getting flywheel machined.
May as well do the job properly - its a hell of a job to take it all out again!

And, while you are at it - either a new clutch fork or get a piece of metal welded to the back of the old clutch fork to prevent the slave rod punching through the fork. ( Another anti murphys law device )

Yes, I've ordered a clutch fork kit which includes the spigot bush. Also a new slave cylinder and damper... Should be about it.
