G'day Dean,, wet hesians (spelling?) a good way to go,, it holds the moisture in. I had it on my worm farm, even though it had a lid for it, and was under the carport.
Out in the bush before I got my little farm,, just an icecream container, a wet rag for on top,, and start lifting cow pads up,,, a rather messy, but rewarding job
I went out and got earthworms to stock my farm when I got it too,, they did really well with food scraps and cow pads

I sorta thought that the wet hesian or newspaper was placed on the ground & this attracted the worms. Is this correct?
    Cheers Dean.

Don't know,,, cant see why it wouldn't, but I'd be thinking it'd take a while for them to start gathering under there. Then you'd actually have to "dig" down a bit for them maybe?
A lot of my camping used to be done on TSR's (travelling stock routes NSW) which means theres always cow dung about,,so it was easy to find them,, but then I decided on a worm farm,, super easy,, super productive,,,
