There is aguy in Esperance that fishes in the bay regularly in a kayak. He mainly targets the smaller species, such as herring, skippy, whitting and flathead. He actually won heaviest whiting in the Deep Sea Angling Classic this year so picked up a grand for his efforts. Only non powered vessel to take part too.

what a great fish , i dont get to do enough salt water fishing , only on the family holidays , must make a sea change one day ,

to answer your question isuzurover ,this one was bought second hand from a gararge sale . it was ony $100 but i fitted it out and had it re gelcoated etc . its a rossco and length is 3 mrt .i to would like a double one so the missis can padddle and i can fish . i guess i was just in the right place at the right time but you can be lucky ,
