    Question Towing boats

Theres some mighty fine looking boats here.
A quick question for you Anthony, or anyone else with a large-ish fibreglass boat. What does your Cruise Craft weigh, and what do you tow it with?
We would like to get hold of a Whittley Cruisemaster in the near future, and just wondering how one would tow behind the Puma.

    Cheers Chops.

    Towing

Chops I have a 6m Signature (see pic) that loaded up comes to around 2 Ton and the old car - R51 2.5 TD Pathfinder towed it no worries.

    Thanks Dave,
We're looking now at other options to a Whittley, namely a Signature 700L. Looks very niccce,, (an oldy, but a goodie)
Have had information given to us that the Whittley's not so crash hot in rougher waters/weather. Unsure if this is true or not, (but so many people cant be wrong ehh ??) but its been enough to make us start looking at others.
We want one thats got a stove etc in it so we can spend weekends on the water, but still have a decent boat for fishing. Cant do much till we sell the two Discos though,, so it could be a while before we're ready to buy, which gives us good oportunity to look around.

    Cheers Chops

And the reason for buying this particular boat was the name. Considering I have 3 daughters, SWMBO thought it appropriate.
Hey I hope you dont take that up to Murray Bridge and pollute the beautiful Muddy I mean Murray River. At least there is water in it now. I am from MB originally.

    Hi Chops,
With apologies for my lateness . Boat, motor and trailer is about 1600 kg.. Throw in other gear like fuel, water, eskies, safety gear, fishing gear etc. I reckon would bring it in at about 2 tonnes. I tow it with a 2000 Td5 auto Disco which does the job without too much bother.

    Cheers,
    Anthony.
