    Bolt all 3 together and u'd have a stable fishing platform, strap a little electric on it and a deck chair job done

    I am saving the idea of a little electric outboard for when I become too decrepit to paddle my kayaks. I am hoping that will be a while yet.

    You could make something like that. You do need bit of spare time, though as it is quite a labour intensive way of building kayaks and canoes.

    I keep telling people that to build one of them, patience is more important than skill.

    All you need is some 19mm x 5mm strips, preferably Paulownia or WRC, PVA glue, some 125gsm fibreglass cloth, some epoxy to wet out the glass, some polyurethane to protect the epoxy from UV, a few tools, a lot of clamps, and about 200 hours.

    This is my latest creation. I designed it for paddlers between 15kg and 25kg or about 4yrs to 10 yrs. The small child is my granddaughter who is not yet 3, but will grow into it in a year or so. The larger child is a tall 10 year old that I borrowed to take some photos about a month ago.
