I'm going to have a look at a QUINTREX SEAMAN CUDDY CAB 14 FOOT With 50 HORSEPOWER EVINRUDE . Hope to look at it tuesday evening. Nothing as flash as what has been posted but should do me. I hope its as good as he says it is. Taking my old man and a mate of his who have both had boats to check all is good. they are both retired mechanics so should be able to tell if motor is good or not(its an oldie). Also waiting to get the number of mech that serviced it about a month ago so wish me luck i am a little excited.
Also can someone tell me the difference between a sounder and a fish finder. It has a sounder (
BRAND NEW GARMIN DEPTH SOUNDER MODEL: S/F? 80). Can't find any info on it as i don't have all the details on it.
    Cheers Brett

Fish finder/sounder------Same thing mate..........The Quinnies are a great boat, especially the older ones with the original style flared bow. Also the OMC should give you little trouble, as they are a basically simple motor. I have owned Evinrude/Johnnos for many years and only thing I have been stuck with was a failed power pack. Since then I have always carried a spare when away on a remote trip ( and have never needed it-but it is good to have the extra security of knowing you have a spare if it does play up). Hope it goes ok....Brian

    Nice project.
You can get cheap Decal kits off Ebay to dress it up a bit.
Looking forward to reading the brag reports of all the fish you catch
    ENJOY

The Quintrex Seaman enjoyed a good reputation for it's seaworthiness. You will be surprised just how well that "little" boat of yours handles a bit of the rough.

Enjoy it - you have a damned good boat there.

    Hi Brett
Just from an old saltie thats been around a few boats, take care with the extra height of the cab, these little boats ( great sea boat in standard trim) but by adding a cab of that height with the light weight of the hull could spell desaster in the hands of inexperence in the wrong conditions. Take care and enjoy your boat
    cheers
