    Reads Rovercares reply,

    Considers for about 0.5 nanoseconds,

Replies; Thankyou for the kindly offer, but I do believe that the price any (sane) person would be interested in paying, and the price I have in mind to part with it, may be slightly incompatible.

what boost pressure where you running at those temps.
Boost was between 5 and 10 psi.

My Genuine ISUZU manual lists 750 as Max EGT for the T models (admittedly they have the oil spray and Alfin pistons - though late model NAs have alfin pistons as well).

I never take it over 750 - though I had to keep telling one of my co-drivers to back off on that trip when the EGTs were getting too high. I measure EGT just at the exit from #1, so these values are possibly slightly higher than before the turbo - I need to move the EGT probe.

I dropped it down to 4th every so often when I was driving to lower EGTs and lube the box better.

For average driving on the highway it would sit at 450-550 on the highway. It was just 1 day from Norseman - Eucla with High ambient temps and a very strong headwind that the EGTs were sitting at 550-749 for most of the day.

I think about 14.5L/100 for that stretch. I posted it on here - maybe in the fuel consumption thread - but I can't find it atm.

Ben, IMHO you need to increase your boost pressure and air flow.

With your turbo (I'm going from memory here - GT2860 ??) I would expect the compressor would still be operating at reasonable efficiency so you should see the egt come down.

I agree John - and an intercooler is already on the cards. Any other suggestions welcome...
