Silly idea, I don't have a turbo![]()
if we were all to mark out a 1/4 mile on a flat bit of road. the give it a blast and post your times, it would give us an idea of how the difrent boost turbo set up are paning out ?
Silly idea, I don't have a turbo![]()
Would this task require a stopwatch or a calendar ?.![]()
Could be interesting if we all weighed the same, had the same transmission set up and had the same size tyres.
My 120 comes in close to two tons with all the extras and has 35's so will be very different to yours if had the same out put. I'll still do it and post up regardless for interest sake. Not that its quick at all. Just great for hills, off road and towing.![]()
In a 400m sprint the gear changes are the biggest killer. Anyone with an auto (even if it only survives a few runs) would blitz everyone else by a couple of seconds.
I was running about 15 seconds 0-100 if that helps.
I tried it 6 months later and it took over 23 seconds. They I got a GPS and found out the speedo needle was sticky and reading 30km under.![]()
Thats a good April fools post clean
Seriously, 0 to 100km/h would be an easier thing for most to measure.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
I think there is an app for the iPhone that will measure acceleration over 0-100km/h.
I think I shall have to search it out for my wife's phone.

Dont isuzu's top out at about 60kph![]()
Atleast you wouldnt have to worry about breaking the speed limit to hit the 400m, you could get away with doing it in a 60 zone if your were in a non turbo!
and yes there is a iphone app, its called pocket dyno, there is others as well, good fun to play with if you have a stretch of private road to drive on.
