    I had a hunt around a few weeks back for other dyno phone applications. Here's the short list, none of these are iPhone:

    I think Oziexplorer on my GPS gives a readout of maximum acceleration and deceleration.

    Apart from the problems already mentioned about weight, tyres and so on, a more useful comparison is something like 60 to 80 in 4th gear. That eliminates the problems of gear changes and driving style.

    and yes there is a iphone app, its called pocket dyno, there is others as well, good fun to play with if you have a stretch of private road to drive on.
    I will have to get this!... might need an iphone first ... as i have a perfect stretch of road... its not private but its never monitored... only just got a speed limit a couple weeks ago.
