    Smile What to do ?

    Hi All

Thanks to roverspec I found a mate of mines mate is selling an isuzu 120.

The good, It has just under 165000 km on the clock and it seems genuine, bullbar, winch, snorkel and chequer plate on the guards. It has a new steel tray with aluminium drop sides, genuine land rover manuals and led lights for the back that aren't fitted. It has new pistons in the front calipers as well as pads of course and reasonably new omemu shocks. The motor is NA and it is a 87 model five speed.

The bad the lights arent fitted there is a small amount of rust on the pillar low on both sides in front of the doors. It hasn't been registered for four years but has been driven around on his block and the tyres are starting to perish. It has no aircon, The front seat has a tear so needs a cover i guess at least. It has a few dents in it. The solenoids on the winch need a clean.

Megsy wants $3000.00 for it so what should I do? is it worth it ? any advice guys and gals

    Regards Mark

3 grand? Not bad. Near-rooted buckets of rust with a 4BD1 go for a few hundred less, sometimes costing more. I reckon you'll get good value, though it may be getting time for a different gearbox though if its been a farm truck for much of its life it mightn't have seen much 5th gear action.

I hope he doesn't mind me saying, Rangier paid considerably more for his (I was second top bidder) so weigh up yours versus the first couple of posts on his one, from the photos yours is pretty good.
    Wanna swap for a 110?

    Hi All

isuzutoo eh Thanks for the offer of the 110 but I have one or at least a 120 anyway

It starts instantly and drives tight, it has a fair few nicks and dings the worst being the front where the bullbar hit it on the top of the guard but i guess they add character. I'm looking forward to sorting out all the rear wiring the led's arent lucas i'm sure .

There's nothing wrong with it that time and money wont fix

    Hi All

If I didn't buy it I'm sure that Steve would have found a way to choke Carla into submission and gone and bought it. Go Carla at the Powerweightlifting championships by the way

All i have to do is get it home sometime and give the gent some more money i guess.

Has anyone got any charity moneytrees that they giveaway the proceeds from

The bad ... It has no aircon,
Change that to the good. Much better off with the fresh air flaps. Plus more room under the engine bay to fit a hair dryer, too Definitely got a good buy there.

    Cheers,
    Rob W
