    Engine mounts for Isuzu conversion

Those who have done Isuzu conversions, what have you done about fabricating the engine mounts?
Is there a drawing/template around of the engine mounts from an Isuzu Stage1/County, or do you just fabricate something to fit?

Steve Murray's county worth checking for the mounts, not sure he has any diagrams certainly not on the forum anyway. I have steel to make them from if your chasing some. Once my turbo exhaust manifold is completed it will be the next thing for me to make.
    Kindest regards

Here are pics of some stage 1 mounts taken off a rusty chassis which might help. You can make your own mounts to suit with the engine in place, making sure you have bonnet clearance and the fan lines up with the shroud.Allow for the rubber mounts to compress 5-10mm with the weight of the motor.

    Thanks Garry.
I've seen the photos of Murray's mounts on his conversion thread, and he'd posted that they were made to suit the engine position.

I was thinking that with the many conversions around that maybe someone had had drawn some up that could be pre-fabbed on the bench beforehand and then adjusted to suit.

Thanks for the offer regarding steel. You might regret that

Thanks Eric - great info. Those stage1 mounts are a nice simple design.

Steve, you are welcome to come out and look at my mounts. I also have a factory Isuzu 120 in the back yard with all the front panels removed if you want to take any measurements. I also have a mate with an Isuzu County with no front panels or engine fitted.....even easier to take measurements.
When I did my conversion, I did intend to make a pattern for the engine mounts to pass on to others, but I couldn't be sure at the time that they were 100% in the correct position, so I didn't.
We'll also be up at the County/Defender Meeting next weekend. Might see you there ?

    Cheers, Murray
