Err, yes. I have serious front wheel spin issues on ANY uphill corner even at a moderate throttle. With the CDL in and 1st gear I can just chip it, the Detroit biting in very well.

Question: Can a 4BD1T do chirpies on bitument?
Background: There has been some discussion on this in the past.
e.g. - Dougal says his can, Matt says unless you have all 3 diffs locked then just one wheel will spin - giving a "false positive".
Since we had the first rain in what feels like 5 years today, I thought I would do an experiment.
Apparatus:
4BD1+T
1/2 worn 255/85-16 Maxxis Bighorns
1.21:1 T-case
2x ARB air lockers
Method:
Parked on a slight slope (5-10%) in 1st gear high with CDL locked and both diff locks engaged.
Result:
Slight chirpies possible. Nothing more.
Discussion:
Over to you guys?
Replicates:

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

Anyone who wants to spin the wheels in an Isuzu county. Should be
1 displaying his P plates
2 have his bit of motoring excellence confiscated ( and given to me where it will be lavished with love)
3 put in a cell with big bubba, preferably during a full moon
4 I was going to say. be forced to drive some rice burner like a CRX but then they would probably like that.
JCs wheelspin issue could be a Rangie thing. Even though not an Isuzu, my Rangie will spin the inside front wheel going around corners. I am thinking a front trutrac might tame it.
