where would i gather the parts from straight from isuzu or wreacker or ebay ???

Must admit it was about 11 yrs ago that I had mine installed by Mike Vine and it was $4200 then drive in drive out. That was with complete new exhaust system, oil cooler for turbo, air cleaner body modification, installation of dual oil filter setup and dyno tuned. Still goes strong. I feel confident in comparing my turbo performance with a normal manifold installation.

So you want the best overall compromise or is there a specific situation where you'd really like more punch?
Do you have a tacho and know what rpm range you do most of the work in?

The turbo will be the biggest single cost, a new exhaust system (incl downpipe) probably the second.

I consider something like the garrett GT2560 to be the basic starting point.

Did he give you the dyno printouts?

The expected differences in the systems will be found in the ratio between boost and backpressure. But besides me no-one seems to measure that.

Had a look through the paperwork I got at the time and this is all I can find. Not an actual dyno printout. Since then I have upped the boost from 10-20psi by disconnecting the wastegate actuator.

    Thanks.
Interesting that the power is still climbing at 120km/h. Any idea how that relates to rpm?

yeh pretty much a overall compromise, haha amd no i don't have a tacho it would be handy . i do have a turbo, though it will probs need rebuilding,it is a garrett not sure what one it has M24 on it .48 yeh not sure what it's called

Not really, maybe someone smarter than me might be able to explain that.

    2764 rpm on 32s

????? not sure what you mean???

Nobody said the remote mount setup wouldn't produce good power and torque. Just that losses in heat and friction (drag) in the connecting pipe would mean the energy available to drive the turbo would be slightly less than a direct mounted setup.

Have a read of my budget turbo install. I mention where all the bits came from. my turbo install cost <<$2k, and $500 of that was a 3" mandrel bent exhaust.
