If you can just unscrew 1 end and slide a piece of pipe over and seal with silicone it would cost little.
Ok I dropped a wheel in a washout which caved in and being at a rather to parallel approach, anyway one bent tie rod. In fact quite bent. Luckily it was bent back so a 3 tone strap and a high lift jack, all sorted until tomorrow. NOT, bent the thing again on the way out (that’s the pick)
ok options
Who where and how much
I do think a bit of an upgrade will be needed? or not? or is it just moving a fail point some where else? if so where?

85 County
Buy a Maxi-Drive high strength track rod - no more problems - I have had one fitted to my 110 for years - steering feel and accuracy on rough gravel transformed. Also replace the standard County drop arm with a Discovery drop arm and ball joint
By the way your track rod should not be used as it will have been severely weakened

Well, for a start, they are illegal. The vehicle thus fitted is unroadworthy (in Qld. at least) and police or Qld. Transport inspectors can and will order the vehicle to be parked, driven no further, and only removed by towing. A fine applies.
Lokka makes HD rods so pm him, as does Mal Leslie in Melbourne, S.G. Leslie and Sons.
Edit- from Qld. Transport "Modifications" handbook. "The welding, chrome plating, heating or bending of axles, suspension or steering components, as a method of repair or alteration is not permitted."
