    I've only changed the oil at 5k intervals, and put new filters on it. Had the alternator reconditioned not so long ago .........that's about it for the engine

    I have noticed the gearbox has just started dripping the odd spot of oil

    Anyone remember the episode of married with children where Al has 999,999 miles on his car and dodge was going to give him a new Viper for videoing clicking over, he sleeps in the car, falls asleep and rolls it out the garage........anyway

    Congrats, 500,000km is a good start.
    My engine has been in 3 vehicles now, covered about 550k, and still going strong.
