yup sent it back to the builder and now spools up faster, same power, less fuel. afr's good. i will post dyno graphs soon when i get a chance - i am stuck in coffs harbour with it at the moment as lostr a thrust washer in the xfer and have no high range, funny really - i came from brissie to go to port macquarie to pick up a mates broken down car and busted myself!

egt's higher - still can't get iot past about 650 but are alot more responsive to accelerator movement , but i'll try to push it hard with a car in tow and see what happens. fuel pump surges (like others on here have said) at full steam, so need to look in to that - dyno shop said it was (can't remember really) the govenor plates or something loose?

great to hear anymore vids ?
if it is the governor theres only a few bolts holding the rear of the pump on which you can take off and check to make sure there isnt anything wrong.
theres also a spring that is in there that is very fine that attaches to the control rack (probably not exactly what they call it ?) and if that rack moves (which it can move once spring gets tired) it will shut off the fueling slightly on and off.
    could be worth a look

ok so just got back from my little expedition to go brisbane to port macquarie and back to pick up a mates broken down car. apart from loosing high range twice and blowing a hub and having to order ina a whole new axle, hub, bearing kit and taking 5 days longer then expected the trip went great!

i was a little dubious how the county would tow another car on a heavy trailer (probably around 3t) for such distance - it loved it, average cruising speed 95-100k's pyro sat on 400ish (pre turbo) and didnt have to change down gears once the whole trip (except when entering towns, etc) she pulled up every hill in top gear, with a maximum egt of 700, could get it up to 600 fairly fast then a slow crawl to 700, and could only hit 700 twice and couldnt get egt's any hotter - so i suppose the tune is pretty good. averaged about 15-16L/100 with a heavy right foot

Here's a variation on the CT26 theme using a Garrett compressor although I'm not sure what this would do, it's being marketed at 13BT's and 4.2 1HD's.
You need a CT26 and it looks like this is a new wheel and housing for the compressor, I don't think it's a complete cartridge.

Pretty sure this all comes from Taiwan, not Japan.
I bought a TD04 cartridge off this bloke last year and it's still going strong on a neighbours Trytoo.

It looks just like a bigger trim wheel.
Melett show CT26 landcruiser wheels (no year or sub model given) being 45.5mm intake and 65mm OD. This guys wheel is 52 and 68mm.

I'm not sure the bigger intake will give any benefit. Sure the turbo could flow more air at lower boost, but that's not needed on a diesel. The bigger OD will give slightly higher tip-speed but the trim is less so surge could be a concern.

The T04B-60-1 compressor map shows more flow than needed (65lb/min) with 20lb/min flow needed to support a PR of 2 (15psi roughly) without surge.

Yeah, nah. Good for the drag strip though.

    before figures

after figures, less boost and less fuel, need to run more fuel but will have to chase a turbo compensate pump otherwise bottom end gets pretty dirty

Curious to see what you Class as "dirty" ??
Personally I wouldn't worry about a compensated pump or getting the parts moulded onto original pump...we just grafted a 1hdt pumps parts onto my mates 1hz pump but it was a bit of work and he is still nowhere near the figures I am at...a lot of factory turbo motors don't hav a compensator on them either...
I only have one video of the rear of mine when my brother was driving it I'll see if I can post it...

Firstly i'm going to get back to the dyno and screw up the boost some more let more fuel in and see if another 5or so psi will clean it up abit to get more fuel into it, i'll only bother with a compensated pump if by chance i can get one a reasonable price
