    Where are they?

Where are all the secondhand 4BD1's? l've looked at your Ebay, Ebay USA, and l've only seen a couple of engines and a few gearboxes for sale. You sometimes get one turn up here (England) but not many. l thought because its a unit used a lot in Australia there would be more for sale. Or am l looking in wrong place?

I suspect most of them are still in use in the original vehicles!

One other thread said that they are getting sent to India by the container full.

Good point, but over here on Ebay your tripping over Landrover engines and gearboxes, axles, chassis from bashed and battered motors, plus lots of other small truck engines.

The full container I saw at a local truck wrecker here last year was bound for the middle east. Chatting to the guy it sounded like it was one of many they'd sent.

Did they not sell the Isuzu NPR Range ( I think) (with 4BD1 engine) trucks out there?

I think the later NPR's had the 4BD1T Turbo which was better again.

Not very many, we do get quite a few NQR's now, mainly used as recovery trucks, but NPR's are very few and far between.

    Smile

Check out that 'Just Parts' or similar mag at the newsagent for used or rebuilt 4BD1's at truck wreckers around the country. There's always plenty, depending on what condition you're after. Never been a huge amount on eBay.
