Give me a couple of days as i'm away and I'll measure the one I have af home, its new from isuzu and to suit the 300mm clutch
I have struck a wall here. The MSA box I have has a spigot diameter of 40 mm. This is the hollow bit in the clutch housing the primary pinion goes through and which the clutch throwout assembly slides on.
I told the Isuzu bloke that I thought it was from a NPR with a 4BD1 but the assembly that came back was too small. ID about 35mm instead of 40. Since then he said he cant help me.
Can anyone give me a part no of the MSA Clutch throwout assembly that has an ID of 40 mm. Or any other advice as what to do would be appreciated.

Thanks Vern. I might have found one. The box I have is a MSA 5G which has a bigger input shaft than the earlier boxes. Hard to get info from the Isuzu dealers. They want Truck numbers not descriptions. When it arrives I will post the info .
The MSA 5G i have is 35mm, the throw out assembly i bought to suit the 300mm clutch is pn. 8944608250. The one that came with my box must of been for the smaller 275mm clutch, it is a lot smaller.
Isn't the 4 speed (lt95) 40mm?
This one came by courier yesterday. Its 8-97089652-0
The bearing surface that contacts the fingers is a bit bigger than the old one but I have yet to fit it and see how it goes. If necessary I can turn up a sleeve that fits inside and make it a light press fit.

mines completely different to that, its more like your old one but bigger. The old one looks like the one to suit the smaller clutch.I gave isuzu the vin number off a factory 4bd1t NPR59, so it has the larger clutch. Will see if i can get photo's later
Here, early 4BD1's used a 275 mm clutch plate. Then the diameter was increased to 300 mm.
I needed a later clutch plate with 21 spline hub to use a 6 speed MXA Isuzu box behind my 89 4BD1T.
From 4/1990 the spline in the hub was increased to 21 teeth, 29 mm O.D. - presumably simply because they changed gearboxes from MSA to MXA.
Exerdy clutch listed 2 possible release bearings in the later models (single unit, or replaceable bearing) - I assume this is what you show in those pics.
My MXA had the replaceable bearing. I'm sure it has the large bore you need - being the larger MXA gearbox.

Yes this box has 21 splines. I suppose its an MSA. The Grubbs adapter fits it OK. The Throwout bearing is too big for the pressure plate fingers so as I was thinking of making a sleeve to reduce it I looked at the old one. The size of the inner looked close so I got the angle grinder and cut it up. Low and behold the inner ballrace was a tap fit inside the new one. This reduces the diameter and gives a nice rounded surface for the fingers to bear on.
Put this in the notebook for future reference

Just a note to add for reference;
Very early MSA's have 24 spline input shaft. 35mm dia. that the throw out assembly runs on and a 45mm dia. on the inner race of the throw out bearing.
Later MSA's changed to 21 spline. 40mm throw out with two different throw out bearing inner race diameters either 43mm or 47mm.
