Thread: Transfer ratio change, Lt95, what's involved ?

If you've got a tapered roller intermediate shaft then all thats required is to fit that then install the new high range gear on the center diff.
If its a normal shaft then you'd also need the intermediate gear to match.
Easy enough to do with the gearbox in the vehicle.

My center diff gear I got new from LRSeries in the UK, and I got the TRB intermediate used locally.

I've still got my spare LT95 in pieces if you want to drop round and have a look at how it all fits together. It cant be rocket science as I managed to do it

It's easy, can do in the car, it's quite fiddly with standard shim set up, easy with taper roller

I'm thinking of off loading some of my Isuzu stuff, just so happens I have a taper roller gearset laying around

Just to clarify, if TRB's are to be fitted, do I need a different intermediate shaft ?

Yes you do. Its a whole different assembly and has a long bolt through the middle to hold the lot together. Different spacers, gears machined to take the roller bearings etc etc.
