I was thinking possibly oil from turbo seals!

Been off the radar for a wile. Need to resubscribe here so PM box is full etc atm

My 4BD1 surges like a bastard at 2850 RPM. Very annoying as right at the top end of the useful power band when towing in the hills etc. Seems to only do this wile under some load.? I have opened the governor to 3600 RPM and is happy to see it with no surging.
The NA pump is not ideal with turbo, cant get the air fuel spot on.
I'm going to fit high pressure electric lift pump with an adjustable fuel regulator and see if things improve at all.

If this doesn't help, like others, I'll wait till my pump dies and deal with it then.

Had it away once for no gain.

Yea, been having some fun with Ultimate suspension. Have used their products for years out here.

    may be applicable

    i had some surging at 105 - 110 klm.

changed most of the copper washers on the fuel lines so the banjos lined up good.

the little plastic filter down the bottom was a bit cruddy but not blocked.

cleaned that twice, then broke it so i don't have one

    no more surging
