Gday all you Land Rover tragics,

I just bought an Isuzu County and would like to get some info about parts. Like with most cars I am going to replace basic items as soon as possible.

First off, it is a 4be1 engine not the 3.9 4bd1.
I have sourced some radiator hoses for a 3.9 engine, will they fit the 3.6 4be1?

Tie rod ends, whats the cheapest place to buy them from, any info is worthwhile?

Found some rust in the rear crossmember underneath the number plate on the drivers side, full of mud and other bits and bobs. In this instance even with the whole x member cleaned out some rust converter won't do the trick. Plan is to chop out the plate with rust and weld a new one on. Anyone done this? Is chopping sections and re-welding new ones in not recommend on the rear crossmember?

The brakes are pretty poor in the back. From what I know and read the backing plates on the counties are handed and this poses an issue if they are put on the wrong way. It has a maxi drive rear end so the whole back has been removed at least once in its life and maybe the blokes who did the maxi drive put the backing plates on the wrong way? Any info on brakes would be appreciated.

And last but not least, what oil is recommended for the maxi drive, I read a post saying any good 75w/80w -90 gl5 is ok. What oil do people recommend for the 4be1/isuzu engines?

Any more advice or information is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Scott
