    evil omens/clutch...

Recieved my new clutch kit from extreme clutchs and thought I'd get stuck into the change. First thing I spotted when I jumped in the old girl was the speedo reading 3 666 1. I have been known to be superstitous, being from fisherman stock, but I laughed it off till I hit the key...click, nothing. So I pulled off the starter and its full of muddy water and will not be going back on. So we pushed her into position, got the motor out, only snapping one exhaust manifold stud...pretty easy. But the kit came with the bearing only and in trying to remove the old one have broken the plastic part of the bearing carrier. So the motors on the driveway the missus is not happy and I need some advice/bits.
Is the plastic part of the bearing carrier the same as the range rover one? I no the metal part is different. And has someone got one they're willing to part with.
Also need to source a starter motor, I have a kit to rebuild one but the state of the rest of the unit is suspect.
I'm going to jack the back up and spin the wheels till the oddometer gets off those evil numbers and have another crack

    Not good,
Yes, the plastic part of the clutch bearing sleeve is the same as the RR one. I do have a spare here (Mackay) which I could get away over the next few days if no one closer can help you. Dranged (Justin) has an Isuzu starter in the markets section for $150, give him a call on 0400880869. Hope it all works out ok.

I recently replaced my starter motor (like a week ago). I sourced a brand newy locally for $350 which I think is good considering most quotes ranged from 450 to 500.

Pick it up from a supplier off the shelf in Cairns. PM if you're interested.
