OME 766 is what I'm using. I thought they were specifically designed for the suzi, could be wrong though.
Hi peeps,
I'm planning to replace front shocks and springs on the landy.
What's a good quality product that will support the isuzu weight.
Thanks
OME 766 is what I'm using. I thought they were specifically designed for the suzi, could be wrong though.
It depends how high you want it to sit and how much other weight you have on the front (bull-bar, winch etc).
I run 180lb/in springs in my RRC with koni's for an 80 series landcruiser and longer brake lines. This sits maybe an inch over standard height, front axle weight is 1170kg or thereabouts.
I have winch and heavy bull bar. I've lifted the back about 1 1/2 in and would like to keep the front in toe.
Lovelles? Bilstein thoughts on these?
Billies are great. Get them from Eshocks but only if you are standard height. Koni Raids are good, and available in +50mm but zomg they are expensive. 180pound springs will be wayyy to soft with a winch and an isuzu. Get the OME springs quoted above or give the chaps at LR Automotive a call, i've not purchased from them but had heard good things.

Just put 10" travel 7100 remote resevoir shock (valving was 368/80 fronts and 400/100 rear) in my RRC that has ARB bar and winch and duel batteries. Springs are purple ones from LRA. Lifted the shock turrets by 2" and increased the bump stops as well. Shocks were $180 each + postage from GBR in Utah, the good thing is Bill replaces the Heim joints with Poly bushes on them, much better for longevity.
Cheers
Nick
IMO the best approach is:
1. Match spring rate based on axle weight (i.e. stick your front wheels on a weigh-bridge).
2. Match length to give the ride height you want.
3. Find springs as close as you can.
Any idea what your axle weights are?
The 10" RR 7100's are great shocks - I have some I'll be putting in soon but hey are eye-eye only. Defenders are Pin-Pin on the front and Eye-Pin on the back. You can convert them to Eye-Pin but still need to custom fabricate the front towers to take an eye shock.
(FWIW I've put Pins and Rubber bushes from a 100 series cruiser on the bottom of each 7100.)

Hey Flagg
I just used pin to eye converters on each shock on the Rangie just need to be carefull with the increased length. They are a fantastic shock at a great price
Try heavy duty 90 rears. works ok on mine.
