    I have the truck box sitting in the workshop, and as much as I would love to grab one of the Grubb's kits and wack it all in, running a new business among other things means I can't splash out on those sort of things at the moment.
    The truck box will have to wait for my 120 project to take shape.

    I went to a local clutch specialist and told hin what i want he came up with a clutch plate out of a truck and the pressure plate fits a few things he said but he said its what some have used in some td42 nissan patrols when there in need of a new clutch he then increased the clamping pressure...it has not slipped "yet" with 35's and lets not get started on the power only problem i am having is what dougal has explained before low rpm the vibrations due to flywheel mass.

    Murray, apparently 900Kg, but that is only what I have read. They produce a ceramic disc for this kit too, all up over a Grand....

    I have a good second hand turbo/6x6 pressure plate that I bought from Brian/Bearman (Thanks Brian!) and a standard LT85(V8/ISUZU) clutch plate supplied by JC as NOS (OE) (thanks Justin).

    Both have been in for quite a while now, and have done the CSR etc, etc. Running 21 psi max. boost, and also done some towing. I have never noticed any slip.

    Ben, I have a suspicion I have an underlying issue with mine as when I originally fitted the ZF auto I had toi remove the cast slave cyl mount from the engine adapter housing and then had to make a wedged adapter when fitting the LT95 some years later.

    I have tried shimming the cyl etc etc but stilll have slippage issues etc after about 10,000km on a new clutch.

    Short of using a new adapter housing I am now going back to an auto, which is something I always wanted in the first place, but just couldn't find a suitable candidate. I now have a good excuse

    I can attempt to measure mine next time I have it out. Should be as simple as sitting it face up and applying weight until it compresses to installed height. My brother has forklifts and digital scales capable of measuring a few ton.

    I don't know if mine has been monkeyed with or reset, AFAIK it's an 86 factory turbo pressure plate for the 275mm clutch.

    While we are talking clutch plates and 120's I've just pulled the original clutch out to inspect before refitting the gearbox. Its not definitively borked but on the flip side it has some wear. Anyone know what the new OEM friction plate width is?

    You may as well just replace it while you have it apart, then it will be good for another 100k km or more.
