    Alternator bolt size

The alternator pivot bolt on the Isuzu has disappeared. I would appreciate if someone can post the diameter and length so I can replace it.

10mm, but not sure of the length. Mine has two bolts in the pivot but not sure if thats standard (or if some have a single bolt that went all the way through).

At a guess I'd say my bolts would be about 35mm long, and from memory they are fine pitch (10x1.25 ??).

Sorry there's nothing concrete there, but hopefully a start and possibly a memory jogger for someone else...

Yep, M10 fine (1.25mm pitch), around 30mm or so.

Single bolt goes all the way through a cast iron bracket, I'm guessing that it is about 100mm. Seems we have established that it is 10mm, thanks.

Anyone know if there is a possible source within walking distance of the Convention centre in South Brisbane?

Interesting. Mine is threaded and takes a bolt from each side rather than a through bolt.

EDIT - will have to check mine... I know the AC has a single bolt... Not sure about my Alternator.

No suppliers within walking distance of the CBD. There are several good bolt shops at Wynnum and Capalaba though. They are the closest I know of.

Maybe post in the general section and some kind soul can buy you a bolt and bring it in. DaveS on here works in the city and has a county at home that isn't going anywhere atm.

Just phoned Dave, he said the closest bolt shop he knows is at Pickering st Enoggera.

EDIT - DaveS is working from home today so went and measured on his car:
The bolt is M10 class 8.8 130x95 mm.
He said if you are not in a hurry he can bring one in tomorrow to the CBD?

Now not going into the city again. Going to Caboolture today, with or without fixing it. I'll have to see what sort of bolt it is.
