    90 with a 6BT DAF fitted.

    I didn't think it was possible to put an engine that long in a landy that short. But here it is:

    What was the point of that? Five minutes of a headlight lit road surface. Nothing about the engine and how it was installed, transmission, etc.

    The thread I linked to has a quick write up along with links to all the installation photos and about a dozen youtube videos. That's the only video from in-cab driving.

    He's used the DAF truck gearbox (5 speed ZF I think) close coupled to an LT230.

    The noise of that would get tiresome VERY quickly I'd reckon....

    Nah, I don't need that much engine and Rangies aren't conducive to the surgery required and . On a 110 or 120 used for towing it'd be the ducks nuts.

    Indeed, those cummins are noisey. But some sound insulation would go a long way towards making it bearable.

    Yeah fitting one in a 110 would be easier than the rangie in the fact alloy street signs can be used as panels would be nice to tow with indeed!!!
