    The extended oil pickup underneath is my favourite.
    But hey, once it's been done, it can now be done better. Getting it done is the first hurdle.

    True.. but by the same token: if you are going to go to the effort of doing it, why not do it property?

    Anyway.. its a sweet conversion. It's interesting the Isuzu engine equivalents weigh so much more. That cummins is only a few kgs more than the 4bd1.. I guess they kept adding iron until nothing would ever break

    Brutus: 1969 109 ExMil 2a FFT (loved and lost)

    I suppose it's because the Isuzu's are an older design ?

    I think the owner is a uni student. Given the bodge jobs I had to do to keep my rover running through uni, I fully understand. It takes a lot of money to do things they way you really want to.

    Someone (might have been Randy) put up a picture of a 4BD1T conrod next to a 6BT conrod. The difference in size was astounding. The Isuzu's are built a lot heavier everywhere except the flywheel.

    hello... thats my 90 you see there...

    the JamJar was just to test the clutch around the fields as i couldnt find anything suitable at the time
    before it went on the road it was replaced with a proper motorsport reserviour which works perfectly

    the oil pick up pipe was brazed up properly and works perfectly with HGV grade hoses this was done due to the sheer cost and rarity of the cummins proper part (£250 odd) compared to what i payed for the whole engine and gearbox (£600)

    and well if you fell for Red Bull oil filter then i wouldnt trust you with my spanners its just a can glued to the original filter as a ****take "My Cummins has wings"

    the in-cab noise has been reduced greatly by making a well fitting tunnel over the noisey truck gearbox. this will be further reduced with some soundproofing, which will be along shortly... though for now at least i can hear my radio

    heres my youtube channel: nrs91 - YouTube

    heres some vids my mates did for me:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_rqizXl6CA]Land Rover 90 Cummins 6BT 6.0 Liter Truck Engine - YouTube[/ame]

    for now shes road legal, with a full MOT and engineers certificate completed but i want to redo the gearbox brace and the mounts and get my twin stacks set up

    one thing i must add though 200+ bhp and 500ft/lb of torque never gets boring... she lugs the 90 on 37" tyres like theres nothing there getting 22-24mpg!!
