Do they list a clamping force for any of them?
I pulled the gearbox on the weekend to swap the LT85 for an LT95. Engine is NA for now, but I have a turbo and manifold to throw on it in the future.
Took the clutch off to discover a few hot spots on the flywheel and pressure plate, so the flywheel is in to be machined and I've been pricing up a new pressure plate.
Turbo Pressure plate from Isuzu is $510 (8970317592)
Heavy Duty Pbr plate from Bursons is $400
heavy Duty exedy or similar (not PBR or clutch industries) $220 from the local brake place.
The local brake guys are getting me a price on a heavy duty as well, not sure what brand yet.
Does anyone have experience with the PBR one or is it worth the extra $100 for the isuzu one?
edit: The local brake place came back with the best price. He won't use PBR or clutch industries as he doesn't like the quality of their products and will only use exedy or their equivalent.
For those on the Gold Coast, I can recommend Steve at Aussie Brakes at Burleigh. Rather helpful and good at looking up and cross referencing part numbers. He's re-doing the slave cylinder and remaking the solid line as he didn't like the flares were good enough.

Was pretty happy recently when putting an Exedy kit through mine, as the pressure plate (made in Japan) that they supplied was identical to the Isuzu one I pulled off it. Both had the "Daiken" logo, just the Isuzu one had the part no's stamped on it, Exedy didn't. Did however go standard, so not sure about the HD ones.
BTW, whole kit was about $400.
I just fitted a new Exedy combo to my truck box conversion then had to pull it back out as it was way out of balance.
Make sure you get your flywheel and pressure plate balanced. My brand new Exedy pressure plate needed a 20c size weight welded to it
was just my luck I bolted this in line with the heavy spot on the flywheel. If I had spun it 180 probably would not have noticed.
For GC guys Russell Jones Performance engines at Molindiner did mine. Great job.

I have never heard of this before. I thought they would all be balanced.
What did it feel like? Anyone else had this problem?

Same, I've never heard of having to balance a pressure plate. It's all bolted on now as well. I haven't really got the time to pull it apart and get it balanced as it's my daily car.

I just bought a genuine turbo clutch kit from L/R, it has Exedy and an Exedy part number printed on it.

Same here I thought it was all plug and play so to speak. But at around 1800 - 2200 it felt like I had solid engine mounts. I basically pulled everything off including the exhaust looking for a problem. You could sit in the car in neutral and slowing rev it thru the range and "bam" it would vibrate thru the whole car.
The race engine guys were saying every now and then you do get a bad P/plate, regardless of brand. You should always get your flywheel balanced if you machine it as it is a casting and will not always be perfect.
