Thats correct with the actuator rover type on short side.
Dougal i have cut the top off the inner guard and just dropped it about 50mm i think (dont quote me on that).
I called Barry at Hi-Tough and he is a legend i cant talk highly enough of him, he is sending me a new axle and flange for nothing and doesnt even wanna see the old one!
THE COLOR WAS NOT WHAT I WANTED. I got impatient and started using it but new color just arrived and will be checking it out on the weekend.
Yes, I've been considering that option too. My home-built air-cleaner (landcruiser 100 element inside a sheetmetal scroll housing) works very well, but takes up a lot of space and isn't the prettiest thing. I made it in an evening about 12 years ago when I realised the air-cleaner I had wasn't sealing and was never going to.
When I get the body and EAS swap done, combined with a donaldson air-cleaner I'll have heaps of room for turbos. But it'll be a while. My first major responsibility arrived late last week.
thought of an engine rebuild excites you, haha
********* you get into your builds, back to chassis, looks awesome bruva
Hi
All you guy's looking for engines need to buy a complete truck not just the engine. Last month I bought a 1992 NPS300 4BD1T 4X4 registered with 245,000k for a lot less than the asking price for a second hand engine.
The trans and transfeer case would suit Patrol GU axle assy's as the output from the transfeer is not offset, good for a part time 4X4.
Mocky
Hey Ben,
Whereabouts are you up to? .... my spies tell me you're getting close.
I'm eager to see it!
Cheers,
Daryl.

She is running and driving really well now. Just spending a litttle time (days and days) putting the finishing touches on her.
Ah, nothing like a bit of olive drab to brighten the place up! :D
Looks a lot better than the Lime Landy I had envisaged.
Great articulation - going to be one tough unit.
Thanks for the thread ... gives me a lot to think on.
Cheers,
Daryl.
