85 Range Rover ground up rebuild with 4BD1T & MSA

Hi guys, my mate keeps telling me to put my build on here so here we go.
I bought an 85 Range Rover around 6 months ago for 2 grand still in rego and used for daily driver until we got a 300tdi disco. Once we got the disco it was time to stip the rangie.

once i got it down to bare chassis gave it a good clean and proceeded with strengthening and and a few mods. I once bent the rear mounts for triangle bush to rear radius arm so i plate them top and bottom. Added bracket to front of chassis to lift bullbar with body lift and also a mount for front mounted steering damper. With v8 engine mounts gone i have land rover 110 4bd1 engine mounts fabbed and welded 90% complete i still have to make gussets back to spring hanger.

Same colour and year as my Rangie (I'm keeping the V8 though), best of luck with the build.

Question--is it esential to streangthen the chassis to put in a 4BD1T??

No not essential. Are you referring to rear trailing arm mounts?
