the friction plate is 267mm OD
hey
my Rangie has a factory turbo mated to a LT95.
Does anyone have an Excedy or PBR part number for the 6x6/turbo clutch?
and just to check this is the correct clutch, the only markings on my current clutch are, "made in UK", "QY83005" on the casing and "430" on one of the fingers (all on pressure plate). I cant find any matches to this online. any ideas? i will pull it off now to check the diameter.
cheers

AFAIK the clutch plate is the same between 6x6 and 4x4, it is the pressure plate that is upgraded.
I am running a 6x6 Pressure plate and OEM (Borg&Beck) clutch plate. So far so good with 21 psi boost and plenty of towing and offroad work.
I had a look at my 6x6 workshop manual & it gives a size of 274.1 to 275.6. Paul
i dont have verniers that go that big so with the tape it was around 267mm could be slightly smaller.
looking at the extreme clutch catalogue it looks like i have a v8 clutch by the size. would the XHD clutch for the turbo 4b fit? what should i measure to check?
i can get these through work so cheapish![]()

KLR28003-1AX
is the part number in the extreme clutches catalogue that i use and recommend. 1.1 ton clamping force, not too hard on the leg, either
jc
yeah that's the part number i'm getting a quote on cheers Justin. good to know that others are using and liking it.

The one you want is EXEDY- RVK-6867 which is 275MM. Installed one in my factory converted RRC no probs.

Alan, What is the clamp force of the pressure plate? Is you RR Turbo 4BD1? I had an OEM Exedy standard clutch, after 15psi of boost and towing 1.2 ton it slipped.
I upgraded to the aformentioned Outback extreme clutch with 1.1 ton clamp force and it is tops.
JC
I did look at the excedy and you can get a heavy duty RVK-6867HD, but for 50 bucks more (and JC's word) I can get the Performance clutches extra heavy duty one (KLR28003-1AX), so will run with that one.
cheers will let you know how it goes.
