Fuel not getting through Injector Pump

Finally gotten to the stage of turning over the motor, but as the title suggests, can't seem to get fuel through the injector pump. Bypassed the lift pump and filter, fuel is basically going straight in one side of the pump, but when I've cracked the injectors on top, I'm not getting fuel out.

I'm not overly worried as it was running a month ago, but anything I should be checking?? IS it possible to airlock an IP??

Do you get fuel passing through when you pump the priming pump?

    Have you bled it?
Normally just be a matter of open the bleed screw, pump the priming pump until you get fuel out the bleed then close it. Crack injectors then crank it until you get fuel then nip up.

Edit: Flagg beat me to it..

What is this bleed screw that you speak of?

OR more to the point, where is it. I figured it was something like this, but I don't want to go unscrewing random bolts and whatnot on an unfamiliar pump.

FWD RH top side of IP. Looks like a steering box adjustment screw.

Figured that's what it was last night. However, also had visions of two hundred springs and ballbearings being held in by that one screw, ready to come flying out as soon as I touched it with a screwdriver, so left it alone

Probably a silly comment, but I assume you've pulled the little plastic filter out of the inlet line where it bolts into the pump. One of mine was almost clogged solid once.

Isn't that the chip filter in WVO terms?

dont waste time trying to prime the fuel pump from its bleeder untill you have the fuel coming out of the fuel filter bleeder.

on an unknown vehicle I start at the line into the main filter out of the lift pump, this quickly eliminates if the pump is lifting fuel or not if you dont get air of fuel out of there within 20 pumps crack open the inlet line to the pump and see if it can shift air against no resistance. if it wont shift air against no resistance the lift pumps not lifting.

if its not that, blow back the fuel lines to the tank while someone checks all the seals between the tank and where you're blowing air in. if thats all good put it back add 20l of fuel to the tank and retry the prime.

If its still not lifting its either the hidden filter no-one remembers to service or a blocked outlet hose, pull the outlet hose, go again.

if its not that... you have an in tank blockage, blowing air into the tank may have shifted it, run the pump directly out of a jerry and see if it will prime up then.

if you get fuel coming straight out of the filter supply hose seal that back up and crack the outlet line till its got fuel.

once you have fuel going there seal up the fuel system and pump the pump 20 full strokes AFTER it gets a little harder to pump.

crack 2 of the injector lines at the injectors, I usually crack 2+3 then with accelerator in the full fuel position and the fuel cut off in key it on the starter, normally within 15 seconds the 2 injector lines youve got cracked will start to spit and the engine should be trying to fire. if it starts lock down the 2 injector lines youve cracked and leave it running (you may need to hold some throttle on) till its idling smoothly. If its only trying to fire but isnt quite getting there lock off the open lines then crack the other, it should start now (the lines that werent open arent holding fuel pressure because air is compressable, the check valves may not be checking correctly if they are dry and gummy, dont panic thats normal for a long sitter)

if you dont get signs of life after 2 15 second shots at bleeding alternate fuel lines then have a go at bleeding the IP normally.

All of this assumes that you dont have a collapsed fuel filter. and that the IP and timing gear is physically ok
