Put it in jerrycans, whenever you goto fill up from under 1/4 of a tank, tip in 500ml of metho, one of the 50/50 mix jerries and top up with diesel. perfect for dewatering fuel systems and helping control diesel snot.
it does make a very good fire lighter tho, just remember to shake the can prior to applying and apply ignition from a distance.
alternatively pour it into a large steel tub, and very gently mix cakes of handsoap or large quantities of styrofoam into it let that set and then keep in a lidded drum, the resultant gloopy mix makes an excellent fire lighting paste.
That far we can go... going further means delving into my book of improvised munitions.

I filled a Tdci Telstra Ford Ranger from almost empty with petrol, realized what happend soon as I went to pay because the Telstra fuel card was only authorized for diesel. Well I had to start it to get it off the forecourt and it ran fine , so I kept going as the Warrandyte exchange was almost downhill all the way and I figuired I could coast. It would not run at all above idle once I started coasting, I expected it to be stuffed. Got a flat top home & pumped the petrol out into 3 x jerry cans , added one Jerry of diesel & it started and ran fine, never missed a beat did another 15k trouble free before I handed it back in.
so much for horror stories.

you have no idea the number of times Ive wanted to end my frustrations with a quippy remark of "I'm fire you're glue, What comes off me sticks to you." before unshouldering an m2-2 loaded with the sticky stuff and letting rip.

I've run 10 litres of petrol in a tank to winterise summer diesel.
Run it. It's not a commonrail hilux or anything fragile like that.

Years ago when I was driving Scania trucks for a living, Scania recomended upto 30% petrol in the diesel for cold climate aperation. Therefore the old Isuzu should tolerate moderate quantities of petrol in the diesel. I did hear the other day that there are people offering petrol fumigation for diesel engines instead of LPG fumigation.

Winterised diesel is quite common in Europe in the higher latitudes to prevent the fuel from gelling in the cold. In areas where commercial winterised diesel isn't available, it's quite common to mix about 10% ULP in with standard diesel to winterise the fuel, without having any effect on the engine. Additionally, those running single tank veg oil systems often use ULP to thin down the oil to make it easier on the engine.
Electronically injected engine I might be wary, but I wouldn't think twice about running it in the 300tdi, or the isuzu.
