No because the vanes that are controlled in a VNT are held in place and don't rotate. The vanes do as I said, alter the cross section of the path the gas flows through.

Please, don't, start another thread if you want to discuss lift and wings.

but my statement stands. and you can see that if you look at the profile. its not like thay are shaped like a wing

Can a mod please clean up this thread?

It might be a while before Mike updates on the final outcome of the tuning, as he's currently got it tuned right back until he can sort out the issues with inlet/intercooler hoses blowing off.

I had a very quick drive of it the other day before he headed north and it went OK, but didn't feel much different to my conventional setup.
Boost builds nice and early as expected (much earlier than mine), but its nowhere near its full potential.

Left my place on good Friday, have heard nothing since. As I said, my neighbour spotted the car in Eden a few days ago. (Was supposed to be heading to the gold coast)
I'll be trying to track him down some time this week. So will hopefully update everyone.
