    new ij pump but problems

After my previous treads on fueling issues pump mods for turbo engine its clear ive had some problems in fact my next fix it tool to use maybe my 14 lb sledge hammer hmmm... well the story starts ..I took my ij pump off and took it into my local bloke after stripping the pump he foound it all pretty worn cam elements govenor ect.some off the hard facing was even gone. Tthe odometer works and says 280k ..after some talk it was surgested to just get another reco 4bd1 turbo pump no.101040-8510 s4a95c412rs2000 8943263400 through mtq diesel .for a little cheaper than repairing mine so I went with that which also saved down time i fitted it the next day and after bleeding i started it but it would not idle properly it hunted bad so I increased idle speed now to get a better idle I had to icrease idle speed to what I would consider to hi but at the speed I still had a rhythmic buff buff noise out the exhast at about 1-1.5 sec interval if I rev the motor more it sounds fine .and drives ok . So back to the ij pump man he took the plug out of the bottom partof the rear of the pump and increased the spring tension on the govenor which seemed to help a little but the hunt is still there at cold start and comes and goes once warm and it just goesnt sound right at the moment 1 week later the idle speed needs to be to high so it dosnt hurt but still boof boof out exhaust
it idled great before this pump ive checked the tappets and the timing ive got it at 13degree tryed 10 but white smoke and change d and the oil ...before I rip the pump off and take it back any ideas

    After 6 months of #@!?
