4 stroke engines take their displacement every two revolutions. That's the half.
VE is because we never get complete cylinder fill. So at ~3000rpm I figure the engine is running about 80% cylinder fill.

So I'm back on this, top mount intercooler with thermo fan.
The bonnet now sports a hole in it, just need to fab some bracketry to hold the intercooler in place. Scoop ordered. Thermo fan is where I'm a little stuck now.
Mounting the fan on the intercooler is a bit tricky but sure I can figure it out eventually, but I need an idea on the wiring, well more the controlling of the fan.
Can anyone suggest the best way I should switch the fan on and off? Via EGT's? Low range only? on all the time?
    Cheers

Pressure switch. An oil pressure switch might work either directly or through a relay.
You could get really fancy with a delay timer so once it was on it would run for a minute to suck all the heat out.

What sort of intercooler have you gone with? Got a pic?

Sorry Dougal, I meant WHEN is the best time it should be switched on, and then HOW should it be switched on.

For when I'd say anytime you're boosting.
For how I'd use a pressure or temp switch so it turns itself on and off.

so switch it off a boost gauge? Would it be necessary in high range?

You could use an oil pressure switch to turn it on under boost.
But a temperature switch would be better for turning it off when not needed.

A radiator fan switch at the turbo outlet to switch it on when the boost gets hot?
