    Defender Onheit

Just been sorting out the cooling new core 695x495 x4row .Made up some tanks. Turned the thermostat housing 180 degree also modified the bottom steering bracket so the radiator sits on the chassis. Landrover purists might want to skip this next bit .Gutted the bonnet to give me another 20mm for radiator and engine.I then rolled abit off 3mm chequer plate to suit the bonnet but it looked abit tacky so cut the roll off and finished up with a neat little scoop for the shrouded top portion of the rad .Looks better than in the photos

Geez you love making some radical gear that rad is huge tho i thought you would have made an all alloy rad rather than copper

The rad is as big as you can go without a body lift. Ali makes a good light rad but not suitable for a offroad vechile IMO .Copper has a few things going for it .More robust Better conductor and easily repaired compared to aluminium but heavy and expensive

    Hi,
I have got an intercooler like that. Looking to use it for my TD5 Defender.
Any chance of some pictures from the inner wings to see how you plumbed it up.

    Thanks

    Chilly

I don't recommend using a hammer. It makes for a very rough edge.
