A test application of dynamat/ flashing and closed cell foam on the drivers door yielded good results- door closes with a thud like new cars plan on treating the others. Have a stick of silicone handy to plug up any apertures.

I'm at the point where I can hear my indicator while driving ~60 km/hr with driver window down. Still a lot more to do. Next is MLV over dynamat treated floor panels.

Chasing sounds and vibrations on an agricultural landy makes you weary!!
I bought my mass loaded vinyl and other soundproofing products from Pyrotek. Wavebar isn't ringing any bells in my memory unfortunately (in my defense it was a few years ago).

I used Pyrotek because I have often worked with them for various refractory and insulation products for furnaces, etc. and knew the then local manager fairly well.

Thats interesting - when I set my 300tdi injection timing properly the rattle decreased a lot(it was very retarded) .

One of the reasons I sold my 85 Isuzu County years ago was the engine noise (and the bloody door locks).
    Then I bought a Defender 300tdi - go figure??.

My passengers never did - particularly when they were 5 years old and younger.

Pretty good. You can cut it with a sharp box knife. The surface is sort of rubbery and if you really want to you can tear it but for what it is designed to do i see no problems.

There was an off cut that I had lost (left it on my black wing protectors and went for a drive) that I found while walking down the road near my house. It had been on the road for maybe 3 months being driven over and it was a little worn but fine.. in fact I used it when I put some more in.

I have topped it with carpet (matt and carpet glued together, then velcroed to the floor / dynamat covered panel) and it works well. If you used it for a top coat it would wear and become tatty. It has hessian in the middle to hold it all together.

    For those interested...

Wavebar is a dense, thin, highly-flexible, tear-resistant and strong mass loaded vinyl. These properties give the product high transmission loss throughout the various frequency ranges.

    Other Wavebar variants:

Wavebar Original: Heavy mass-loaded vinyl noise barrier with a reinforced fabric backing

Wavebar Quadzero: Foil faced noise barrier for improved flame resistance

Wavebar Outdoor: UV resistant covering with a reinforced fabric backing - greater strength and is self-supporting

More info here: Wavebar Original light flexible mass-loaded noise barrier | Pyrotek NC

    Cheers!
