    Insurance

    G'Day to the brains trust

Finally got the blue slip done, now to sort the comprehensive insurance, any idea how much a 1988 Rangie with 4BD1 turbo charged motor and 4 speed manual is worth? We don't want the insurance companies screwing us around by over insuring us then not paying out properly if something happens, or any other variable that they can come up with where we loose out.

Do we need to do anything about the green slip?

Mine is insured for an agree value (based upon more of what I would need to replace it rather than what I could sell it for) through Shannons for what I consider to be a reasonable value. They are the only ones that I could find that would do agreed value, salvage rights and were OK with the modifications. And they have a list of every modification, it is insane! (they asked for it!)

EDIT: was going to PM you specifics but it wont let me

    Hi the mutt

Shannon's are the only ones that would cover me with my county because I was under 25 and it had some mods.it was insured for what I payed for it but if I took photos of the mods I could insure it for as much as I wanted (within reason) and it didn't have to be engineered.i don't know if it's changed as it was two years ago when I brought county.

    Regards Brett
