    Oldest Muffler on the road today?

    Hi guys, just had to weld up the muffler on the Stage One as the reinforcing bracket on the back of it let go, the muffler had the date stamped on it along with the Leyland logo. now the Rover is a 1982 model and the date on the muffler is 1983! so it is the one that came out of the showroom with the car! (I am the 3rd owner from new) once I re-welded the bracket on it was as good as new, they just don't make stuff to last anymore

    Yep mine is original too - 1985. Still looks good externally.

    Mind you, it has got very low KM on it.

    While my mostly original one was fine... I prefer my new 3" mandrel bent ceramic coated one.
