    Perentie & 110 similarities

    Hey guys,

Thinking on buying a perentie. What is or isn't interchangeable between them and 110 counties.

    Regards,

    Mic

I can't think of anything other than parts that fit the front and the back. The dumb irons are different so standard bar won't fit. The rear is different so parts like a standard fuel tank won't fit.

engine (assuming you have the 4bd1 in the county), gearbox(again assuming you have the lt95), diffs, wheels, hubs, wheel bearings, brakes, brake master, body panels, bonnet, vent flaps, dash, steering boxes, steering linkages suspension linkages, bushes, door locks, seats, doors, windshields, roofs, axles, prop shafts, ROPS, wiper motors, wiper assemblies, heater boxes, pedal assemblies.

just to name a few off of the top of my head.

oh wheel nuts and studs, valve caps headlights and the little rubber caps that go over bleed nipples and grease nipples to keep the dust out.

no, theres a few things that dont swap one for one.

bar work, towing gear, spare tyre holder, the winch, the rear tub.

but it depends on what you need to swap over.

They are basically the same vehicle allowing for different body types, but as well as military equipment the Perenties have significant chassis modifications and the electrics are somewhat different. There will be quite a few parts that are different to the civilian vehicles but interchangeable, as well as parts that simply come from different civilian models.

Brake booster & MC is PBR on perentie and Lucas on the county. They are not interchangeable as they have different mounting on the pedal box. The perentie brake pedal box is a county box modified by land rover to fit the PBR set up.

Cheers for everyone's input. The fact the bull bars are not interchangeable means I will hold out for one with a winch.

It would be easy to modify a non-winch bar to accept a winch.

I thought the Aus Army LR 110 built here. Yes they used UK sourced components for alot, but then alot of little Aus Army specific stuff.

I doubt they "rolled down the line" in Solihull
