The ADR's require the solenoid stopper from 1985. From about 1970, for trucks anyway, a locking stop cable was required or a push in to stop cable.

Thanks for all the replies, sounds like the easiest way is to take it back to standard.

I have the stop motor which works at the moment, and I managed to track down the relays (thanks Steve). So I'll just wire it back to standard, as mentioned it shouldn't be to hard as I can just use the solenoid wire to activate the relay

Just adding my 2 cents Mine is an 86 with the stop cable from factory(I believe), knowing about the 85 date I queried it and was told If it came from factory that way it didn't matter as long as I didn't do anything to require it to go over pits etc ie engine swaps etc as it would need to comply with the 85 rule
