Thread: RBG Motor or RB

Hi guys,
I went to order some parts last week for one of my latest county and from the engine No was told I had an RB 4bd1 instead of the more common RBG 4bd1.
Has anyone else come across this and if so what are (if any) the differences between the two.
From an ordering parts point of view there is no full rebuild kit listed usually about $1200 or so, and therefore all the parts required would have to be seperatly ordered at a cost of about $5000.
Externally on the motor the only difference I have noted is that there is no stiffening strap under the sump bolts and the sump gasket would appear to be paper not rubber.
BTW the reason for considering an engine rebuild was later found to be loose flywheel bolts, this will mean motor and box out and fix all the other small things and put in HD pressure plate for turbo to come.
While Im asking questions does anyone know how many civilian Isuzu countys were made.
