    Donaldson Air Filter Restriction Indicator

    Hi All,

How many kPa is the standard air filter restriction indicator? I blow mine with brand new filters, and then I realised that ages ago I replaced it after a ham-fisted removal of the filter housing broke it.. The one I have triggers at 20inches / 4.98 kPa .. today I was wondering if my filters are fine and it is just that I didn't replace the broken one with the correct rating!

    Cheers

Just seen your pic of bleed valve reminded me I didn't reply about your restriction indicator .My indicator trips within a couple of Ks with a Donaldson type precleaner but never trips with the ram type scoop Have a look Defender Onheit page 5 this section post 56

    Thanks Noel,

So Steve trips his 25" with 15 psi.. no wonder I'm tripping my 20" at 20psi!

Does anyone know the maximum allowable restriction for a 4bd1-T? Donaldson have a 30" indicator..
