    Lt 95 problem

    My lt95 has popped the circlip off the front of the mainshaft twice now the land looks fine .both times a small grove has been worn on the front of the circlip see pic .any ideas why it keeps coming off

    Mate, are you sure you haven't run over a Chinaman somewhere!.
    I can't believe you have had this happen twice. It should not happen. I am beginning to think the quality of the snap rings are a bit suspect, even though they are supposed to be genuine.

    Don't know if possible on lt 95 but have over the years made retaining collars a tap on fit to the shaft with a recess for the snap ring to stop it expanding as it is a fairly common problem on some gear boxes
