Hey guys,
Just ran my county out of fuel, walk up to the servo later, put 10litres in and tried cranking it - head a bit of a crack on the third time cranking it now the starter motor is turning MUCH faster, like a petrol, and won't start. Thoughts? Stuck on the side of the road![]()

The crack suggests a starter problem, possibly the free wheel on the pinion (been there) with the failure being coincidental with running out of fuel. Or possibly the battery is now low enough that it is not engaging properly. Trying it again with a good battery may work, if the extra oomph gets it to grip.
You need to prime these engines after running out of fuel, but there is no need to loosen the injector unions. Loosen the bleed screw on top of the filter (or a union on the filter outlet) and unscrew and pump the primer until it pumps bubble free fuel, then screw down the primer and tighten the bleed point.

As john said you will only need to crack the bleed screw and pump until free of air, I found out the hard way last week that my fuel gauge was dicky !
Being nearly two months ago I hope he isn't still stuck on the side of the road.
Well he never replied so maybe he never made it back haha

He didn't. See his broken LT230 thread.
