Spigot bush removal a better way

I was told this method of spigot removal and it work so well I thought I'd pass it on
Drill a 5.5mm hole straight through (down the hole the pinnion goes) the spigot carrier all 20mm of it tap a 1 x 6 mm thread screw in a grease nipple with a small socket pump grease in which jacks the spigot out Drilling and taping the thread is quite easy just sounds hard.

I took it out because the Pinon shaft has been running against the end of the sigot carrier the recess in the crank is 11 mm deep but as u see in the pic the carrier is 13.2 all of the 13.2 should be in the crank as it has two raised section which are surpost to seat in the crank shaft only one can I my case .mmmmm not sure what to do here wondering if there is a connection between my lt95 gearbox popping it's front snap clip off

Another way to remove spigot bushes is to find a piece of solid shaft that is a good slide fit into the spigot bush. Once found and tested, remove the shaft. Now pack the blind hole that the bush sits in full of grease (right to the outside face). Put on a pair of safety specs, position bar just into spigot hole against the grease expelling any air. Now strike the end of the bar with a lump hammer. The bar acts like a piston. Something has to give, and it does. If done correctly, the grease will force the bush out of the flywheel and up the bar. Sounds 'agricultural' and it is, but its worked for me many a time!
