As with any international brand, products are made all over the world, Baldwin included. The fuel filters I use on Defender TDCi (puma) are a Baldwin made in the U.S

Where a product is made is not an issue, its to what standard that should be looked at. I find it odd that people still make reference to things being made in China as a bad thing....

We use Baldwin filters on all our shire fleet, except for any machine thats under warranty.
No real problems,2 have come loose, but so have many other items touched by the previous spannerman.
We do have an outstanding issue waiting to get sorted with the distributor. An air filter for our Merc 4610 prime mover had a 1mm hole in it due to a poor casting, there is no secondary filters on these trucks and no factory upgrade suitable. It did between 7 and 10K on gravel roads before it was noticed,so well and truely dusted.

If you mean Cooper/Wesfil, then the answer is yes (same group as GUD/Ryco)

If you mean Coopers / Coopersfiaam/sogefi then they are better, as they are an OEM supplier to some applications, however I would still prefer one of the 3 brands I mentioned previously.
